Between 05 and 31 January 2016, international field team working under the umbrella of VSF Czech Republic, headed by Andrei Mihlaca and Gianluca d Amico, has performed periodical field work in the frame of the Mt Kulal Rabies Control project.

The team consisted of two vets (from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca) and 6 volunteering veterinary students (5 from from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca and 1 from University of Agronomical Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca of Bucharest). The team has visited the following location (in brackets the number of vaccinated animals):
A total of 601 animals have been vaccinated (505 dogs and 96 cats).

All work has been performed under the supervision of the County Veterinary Office in Marsabit. Prior to the vaccination campaing, several official emails were exchanged with CVO in Marsabit and before the field work, a meeting in Marsabit has been organized. This report will be forwarded also to the CVO in Marsabit.
